Nova Scotia Chapter
The Nova Scotia Chapter of the Canadian Celiac Association is one of twenty-nine chapters comprising the Canadian Celiac Association. The Nova Scotia Chapter was founded in 1980 and incorporated in 1982.
The Nova Scotia Chapter has Support Groups in Halifax Regional Municipality, Sydney, Baddeck, Cheticamp, and New Glasgow. From its humble beginnings the Nova Scotia Chapter has grown to over three hundred members.
Celiac awareness is a major project for the Nova Scotia Chapter and it has been afforded a good forum by the newspapers and broadcasters throughout the region. This allows for public education and awareness of Celiac Disease and Dermatitis Herpetiformis.
