CCA – NS Chapter is seeking a volunteer Treasurer.
The Chapter is a registered charity supporting those adversely affected by gluten and is dedicated to improving diagnosis and quality of life.
The Chapter has an engaged Board of Directors (“BOD”) and a skilled bookkeeper with annual financial statements reviewed by a CA firm.
The Treasurer ensures the BOD understands the financial affairs and resources of the organization and duties will include a review monthly bookkeeping records, advice on investment opportunities, and summer grant reporting to HRD/CRA. The BOD is accountable for financial management of the organization, including adherence to a budget.

You can now register for ‘Camp Silly-Yak at Brigadoon Village’ Brigadoon Village!
Brigadoon invites a Clinical Dietitian to work with their Executive Chef to ensure that the dietary restrictions of all campers are considered when preparing the daily menus for breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner. All menus for this camp are gluten-free and nut-free.
The camp is supported by the Canadian Celiac Association—Nova Scotia Chapter, the Gastroenterology Team at the IWK Health Centre and private donors.

Pinterest is a social media sharing website which is a pinboard-style photo-sharing website that allows users to create and manage theme-based image collections such as events, interests, and hobbies. Users can browse other pinboards for images, “re-pin” images to their own pinboards, or “like” photos.

A safety reminder to those new to Celiac Disease and gluten sensitivity. There are many different enzyme products on the market that make it sound like you can eat gluten if you take their product fist.
Don’t be fooled.
They do not work. They are not approved by Health Canada or the FDA. The only cure currently available is a gluten-free diet.
